At the end of this module, you should have an idea of the type of teacher you classify yourself as which will, in turn, enable you to determine how you see yourself and what kind of teacher you envisage yourself becoming. You will also become aware of the numerous options and possibilities which exist for future professional development and the steering of your career course. You will realize the importance of continuous self-evaluation, and as a potential manager, will learn how to effectively evaluate the teaching of others through classroom observation.

Management Strategies will enable you to demonstrate your awareness of the business nature of English language schools and the role of the manager within this framework in terms of responsibilities and expectations. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the philosophy, aims and objectives of the particular department or school which is vital to business success; how to develop and institute development plans and create attainable targets. Assessment Criteria
